Alfred Onimisi Ohiani, a Petroleum Engineer with over 33 years of experience as a government regulator ranging from Strategy and Performance Evaluation, Economics and Value Creation, Revenue Generation and Accounting to Engineering & Standards. Ohiani, while at DPR implement regulatory policies for the design, construction, and commissioning of Oil and Gas facilities in Nigeria Review, validate and grant approval to ensure design, construction and commissioning of Oil and Gas facilities are undertaken in accordance with legislation, and approved International/National codes and standards.

Coordinate and validate the evaluation of engineering designs for Greenfield and Brownfield Oil and Gas facilities, with a view to determining the adequacy of safety provisions (i.e. systems and controls), in conformity with international codes and statutory requirements certify Greenfield and Brownfield Oil and Gas facilities/equipment prior to shipment, installation, and commissioning.

Participate in the statutory implementation of Technical Safety Control Studies and Reviews on facilities development/modification projects.

Co-ordinate and approve safe design, installation, operability and maintenance of pipelines and related installations in the oil and gas industry.
